If Winston is done, who do you want to face Bama in the title game?

Well by year's end, barring a Minnesota upset, Wisconsin will be 10-2, and likely right outside of the top 10. Michigan State will likely win this weekend and should also beat Minnesota, meaning they'll be 11-1 if they face Ohio State in the B1G CCG, likely top 10 (they're almost right there now). That would mean we will have wins over 10-2 Wisconsin and 11-2 MSU, both of whom will be top 15.

Baylor beat Oklahoma, who is already 8-2 and behind both Wisconsin and MSU. Oklahoma also faces Oklahoma State still, who I imagine will beat the Sooners handily, meaning Oklahoma will drop down into the 20-25 range at least. That would mean they'll have wins over 10-2 Okie State (still will likely be top 15) and Oklahoma, who will likely be 20-25.

In summary, two top 15 wins for OSU (possibly even top 10 depending on what happens with Wisconsin), and only one for Baylor with another 20-25 ranked win.

neither of which would have a win over a ranked team themselves.

remind me who oklahoma state beat in their conference championship game again.

who said anything about tOSU? I was talking about a conference who has a CCG, and a team who couldn't even make it to that game getting a pass to the MNC

Wouldn't be surprised if BYU and Nebraska found themselves ranked by season's end.

the BCS title game is not about the 2 best conference champions playing each other for the title.

it is about the 2 best teams playing for the title.

do you think alabama was one of the two best teams? if not, let's discuss it. if you do, this argument is over.

if winning your conference or playing for your conference title had anything to do with who plays in the BCS title game, you'd have a point.

virtually nobody thinks that lsu and alabama weren't the two best teams that season.

as was said during the discussion yesterday about Florida backdooring its way into the game against OSU and winning (setting a bit of a precedent along the way), the end result does not justify how the team got there. Prior to that year with the bama vs lsu, round 2, all we ever heard was "You have to win your conference to play in the title game" (I know it wasn't always the case, but every sportscaster wanted it that way, until that year)

And Ohio St will still be behind in the computers.

florida didn't backdoor their way into the game against ohio state. they won their last 6 games including the SEC title game. and again, what every sportscaster wanted is irrelevant. the BCS wants the 2 best teams in the game. that's it.

and florida was one of the 2 best teams even before they crushed ohio state. just as alabama was before they paid LSU back.

lol @ 25-0. i guess if auburn had gone undefeated they'd have no argument, beccause they be 16-9 over the last 2 seasons :L

They aren't undefeated and you're already going to have your shot at Bama.....

Don't know if anyone else wants it, but I'd love to see Bama lose.

it's just funny that people are implying last season should mean something in determining anything this season. ohio state is not "25-0"

they are 10-0 with no wins over top 15 opposition.

It will be Baylor I think...

I don't think beating MSU (if we do) will be enough to jump Baylor (who will jump tOSU this week if they beat Okie Lite)...

You sure have a hard on for tOSU. Are you mad the only time Auburn has mattered it cost someone $180k?

Isn't Alabama automatically number 1 because of last season? Are people really going to sit here and say last season doesn't matter?

are you mad that ohio state has never beaten auburn?

or won a championship as recently as auburn?

also, lol at you knowing nothing about the cam newton saga. you should keep your mouth shut so people can be left to guess whether you are an idiot or not instead of opening it and removing all doubt.

NCAA finds no major violations against Auburn regarding Cam Newton - ESPN
