Yes, but will it matter??? The next guy won't have any say over the team either, and who would take the job if offered?

I'm on the fire Garrett Wagon win lose or draw. The job he did in the 2nd half last week is inexcusable.

I know Jerry has been a thorn in your sides and might dissuade some coaches who want complete control but there are 3 top coaching positions in our country and they will always be the manager of the Yankees, head coach at Notre Dame and head coach of the Dallas Cowboys. It will always be an elite coaching gig.

I laugh when people say a top coach will not work for Jerry. Yes Jerry is a meddling fool but it's the Cowboys. Still one of the most sought after jobs by most football coaches. If Jerry wants offers the job the coach will take it while hoping he can get Jerry away from football operations

At this point I don't care how bad the defense is. Had ran the damn ball against GB we win the game. I may give him a pass if he came out in the 2nd half trying to run and GB was stopping the run but he didn't. When you have a 23 point lead at the half you run the ball more than 7 times to eat up clock. I have not completely turned on Redball until now. I like the player change he has brought in, but that was the dumbest coached game I can think of. Hell doughboy Wade would have ran the ball.

2 games left. I think he has to win. I thought it was funny when the guy told Emmitt to kiss his ass

What was funny? All I read was 500 word excuse for Ginger. Hell maybe redball himself wrote that. Look we all know the defense sucks, but the way the 2nd half was called is what lost it.

If the new coach can't pick his staff, then I see getting a new head coach as nothing more then perfume on a pig. If your car needs new tires, do you buy just one new tire and think the other 3 magically get better? How can a new Head Coach fix the defense with the usual suspects?

Andy Reid got to pick his staff ... seems to be working pretty good.

yep and he got some people he had been wanting for years

New HC without control of the staff = same ole shitty results

Garrett's bumbling ends up costing the team one or two victories a year. Im all for learning on the job, but yeesh.

Its time. Playoffs or no.

Call me whatever, but I'm still watching no matter happens.

I agree....I've missed 7 games that I know of since 1970
1-15 season? watched pretty much every play and critiqued my team. I just grew up in a family where the cowboys have always been a religion in itself.

I think Garrett has done a great job with reversing some of the damage that Jerry has done with regards to the culture of this team. He has brought back accountability and competition. Would we have seen Claiborne being benched for Scandrick a few years ago? I do feel he has been a Romo apologist until this week and that probably has been one of his bigger mistakes from a leadership point of view. You can't allow your $100M veteran QB to do the same thing over and over and make excuses for him or point out which WR "messed up" to make it easier on Romo. But In general he has slowly started to run this team like a Football team again.

That being said, it's been clear for 3 years that he just cannot grasp the time management aspect of the game and that is one of the biggest things you want from your HC on Sundays. He also panics when things get tight and has not shown the ability to stick with the run. The guy that is a stabilizing force during the week by staying even keeled seems to come unraveled when the team needs him to be in control. I think his time here should be done unless something unexpected happens in the next few weeks. I do feel that he has lost us games with his poor decisions and that is inexcusable.

I also think his offense needs to go. There is little motion to help guys get open or to help the QB read the defense or confuse the defense when they are doubling Dez. The patterns just don't seem to work together to create the separation other teams get. Yes, guys get open, but it's almost like 3 separate guys doing 3 separate things. The patterns don't seem to work together to draw the defense away from certain players to free them up. One of the best things Romo does is the PAP, but we don't run enough to capitalize on that. It's like every play and every pattern within those plays stands on it's own. Where the heck was Dunbar all year? I know he was injured at times, but even when he wasn't we basically saw him for one quarter even though we all saw in the preseason how good he could be in space and as a change of pace guy. We heard about the height of our receivers in the red zone with Dez, Witten and Escobar (don't read this as me thinking he is any good, but he's big), but how often do we even try to use that? Yes our RZ offense is good, but it seems few of the TDs from around the 5 yard line or closer are capitalizing on this size. It's back shoulder throws to Dez and passes to Witten when he is sitting down on his spot.
