Even if they lose, the season isn't over.

If the Bengals lose tomorrow that means they have a 12% chance of making the Playoffs. That also means they have an 88% of missing the Playoffs. Statistically starting the Season 0 for 2 all but assures your Season is over. It's called math.

If there was a team in our division that was 2-0, then your math would be valid.

Absurd. 12% is a perfectly legitimate chance.

The Bengals won't be out, bc the division isn't that good, but if we go 0-2, don't forget, we play the Packers next and face a very real chance at 0-3.

Please explain how a 2-0 team in our Division invalidates my argument? The fact is that since 2000 only 12% of the teams that started 0 for 2 have went on to make the Playoffs. Since my argument isn't dependent upon your argument then they're exclusive from one another. But you were saying?

invalidates? no, but would validate. think you got that backward.

if we're only back by 1 game, your 12% stat is not based on fair statistics, you're discounting several use cases and over generalizing. if we lose, feel free to go cancel directtv I guess, lol.

If they lose does that mean we won't have to see your whiney ass around here since the season will be over?

I would like to see those stats broken down, to see what the difference would be if nobody in your division is 2-0....wouldn't be surprised if that 88% adjusted down a bit.....still, nobody has made the playoffs the last five years with an 0-2 start.....of course I do remember the Giants starting at 0-2 several years back, and winning the Super Bowl.

How can we lose this game tonight? I'm just not seeing it.

We'll be 1-2 after next Sunday, though. You can mark that in blood.

It's the fucking Steelers, that's how we CAN lose it. It's on MNF, that's another way we CAN lose it. But if ever there was a night we can and should evict the demon, tonight is it.

We'll need it. We have a mental problem where the Steelers are concerned.
