You'd have to go with the GM. As difficult as that choice would be, the utter dysfunction that preceded Scott here can not be dismissed. So to me the real choice was between losing a pretty good tandem in Jay and Kirk vs. Returning to those days with that tandem in place.

BTW: This is a hypothetical isn't it?

When I compare Allen/Gruden's one draft to Scots and knowing that Allen has way more say that SM does. I would be all in for Jay and Kirk.

Jay has been successful with two teams and two QBs as an OC or HC. Cousins is likely the best QB here since Jurgensen but for sure since Theismann.

First off. Why do you think anything is coming to a head? Have you heard or read any rumblings that speak on the scenario you've posed?

That said......if I'm Snyder I need more dope than an "either or" from Scotty Mac. What the fuck do you have in the mix, Scot? You have a QB picked out already? If so, is he in the NFL or still in college? If you felt like this WTF did we draft Dotson with a 1st and do absolutely nothing on the defensive of the ball last year in either FA or the draft. Do you want to fire the entire offensive coaching staff? Is your plan to promote anyone from the offensive coaching staff? Are you talkking about cutting Cousins or trading him? If its a trade to whom and what can we get for him etc etc.

If he couldn't come up with any thing more than half ass BS answers he's getting fired. Cuz I would be pissed because I know that firing either him or Gruden and KC is gonna come back to bite me in the ass in a major way. This couldn't be some shit that he came up with yesterday or 3 days ago in a dream or some fuckin brainstorm cuz he got a wild hair up his ass. First of all I see no way that this is happening & I don't think that all parties are as much in opposition to each other as you are maintaining here. However - I will bite. I think that SM is smarter that you are portraying him here. Let's say that he gets his way & this plays out in this fashion. Well - he better damn well show results for this staring next season. The excuse that you need 2-3 years just won't cut it w/ Snyder or this fan base.

Also - why in the hell do they need a mobile QB? Did you not just watch what type of QB just led his team to their 5th SB win? Also - Cousins isn't RG3 (thank God) or Wilson, but he is mobile enough. If anything I would think that Snyder & the Redskins would be very wary of a QB who relies on his legs too much. Also - why do they need a smash mouth power running game? A better running game would help, but it is only part of the equation.

This team already has a lot of parts in place - they just need to add on to what they already have. Why are you even suggesting that they blow everything up & start again? If SM asks for everything in this situation I tell him "Thanks for your time - good luck to you" & this is coming from someone who is a huge SM fan.

If SM wanted Gruden and Cousins gone, it would have already happened. no way he waits until after year 3 of his time here to start over. I agree with SoCal. People are way over reading the Cousins contract negotiations as that it is an indication that Scot doesn't want Cousins (and by extension, gruden). Hell, did you not hear what Allen said about Cousins? Do you think that Allen makes such a statement unless the entire FO, including Snyder, are in complete agreement? So if Snyder ever comes to the conclusion that Gruden and Cousins need to be gone, SM should be right behind them as if they aren't the right tandem, then he should have already dealt with this by now. Cousins should have been traded so as to get something for him. That's what any GM worth his salt would have done.
