I'm not really sure what you're arguing about? You wrote, "I like the signing." [...] "Again, I'm all for the signing. I applaud the Bengals for ensuring that they have a veteran presence to start the season." So what is it? You like the signing but you don't like me saying that I like the signing too? This just proves my point that "some" people will take the opposite position even when they don't realize they agree with me. Man this is hysterical!

I'm not arguing with you. Yes, I like the signing - It's better than starting a rookie. No I don't think he's an upgrade over Cook. I also am not confident he'll last the season. You said we weren't making arguments grounded in truth or reality..... I gave you the reasons why I don't expect him to be an upgrade.

He may be bad, but PFF also had Cook rated as the 10th best C. I don't take much stock in anything they say. He was no where near a top 10 C.

I'm little different than anyone else in that Cook did not impress me last season. But in his defense, he did have Livings and Mathis on either side of him. That double-headed monster would make anyone look bad. Now, how he's ranked 11th I'm not sure, but I don't believe he was any worse than middle of the pack.

agree. I dont think Cook is an all world center, but he is solid. We've seen really poor center play in the AFCN before. We know what it looks like. If Faine is truly one of the worst center in the league as PFF suggests, and the fact that he remained unsigned at this late date suggests, we will miss the average center play of Kyle Cook.
