Now that DBs aren't allowed to hit WRs any more, here's what NFL teams should practice:
QBs should start intentionally throwing high to WRs over the middle so they have to jump to catch it (Vernon Davis should be great at this). This would be a great tool in picking up first downs. The DB might be guarding the first down marker, but the WR wouldn't have to catch the ball over he line; he'd just have to catch the ball where he would LAND over the line.
WRs need not be afraid to go over the middle any more. All they have to do is pull a Vernon Davis, and the DBs can't hit 'em.
