I hear rumblings of team boards around here every once in awhile. I hope we grow big enough that they will all be utilized. But until then, instead of cluttering up the place too much, what about starting with division/conference boards?

One example might be, not to pick on Q or anything. But if there was a Bhawk board, there would have to be some hardcore recruiting going on. A Central division board could help out in the meantime. Most of us Keep tabs on our division rivals closer than any other teams. Hell, Chicago is only 5 hours away from me and closer than Detroit!

This is just a thought i had, sorry if it's been brought up before. Wondering what you guys think?

I'm all for ANY kind of team board in any form. That way I can finish assembling my Corps of O&B Hellions to unleash on you all next year!!! muuuahahahaha!! :D

This was as far as I've seen/heard about it though --- read posts 4-5-6-7-8. http://www.sportshoopla.com/forums/hockey-forum/8675-where-ipostedwhat.html

Perhaps Dare and Post could shed some light on this...I don't know.

Am I the only one who feels that more is not better? I actually like the relative number of people we have right now. You really get to know people, how they post, what they're about, etc. The number of threads are always enough that you can hop on and have a conversation, but never so many that you can't keep up should you so choose.

I like the number of people we have, and wouldn't mind some more, but if the Board more than doubled in size, I don't think it would be as interesting to me.

More than numbers, I'd like to see DIVERSITY - surely their are more Rangers' fans, some more SE fans would be great, and more non-Wings Western Conference people (nothing against the Wings at all, they just seem to be the only Western team well represented).

And while I understand while people want team boards, I don't feel it's real crucial in a non-troll environment and think it would actually make these boards worse. I like occasionally seeing an Oilers- or Flames-related thread and learn more about them. Whereas if those posts were in a team-only or division-only thread, I probably wouldn't seek them out or learn as much.

In sum, I think the hockey boards here are pretty spectacular as is and I think major increases in size or expanding the number of boards (like division or team ones) would actually be a detractor for me.
