I know. I was just, to quote Tony Soprano, "breaking balls"Puckett started at the age of 24. Ichiro was like 27.5 years old. Bit of a difference.
And Ichiro still managed over 10,000 plate appearances.

I always liked Ichiro as a #2 hitter over leadoff. On base percentage is on base percentage. Walk, hit, HBP, accidentally make it to first, doesn't matter as long as that lead off hitter is getting on base.
But I'll take Lofton.

Couldn't tell you the difference in numbers, but it wouldn't sway me thinking that's where he should be in the order.
As a leadoff hitter, Id rather have Lofton. But Id take Ichiro between the two.
Id rather have that in a leadoff hitter for sure.I agree ichiro's stats are more of a #2 hitter. But top of the lineup hitters have similar profiles, I would still rather have the player who gets on base more and steals more bases.
How is that the hitter who takes a walk's fault?
Well yeah, both would be great, but it is widely understood that OBP is more important than SLGDid I say it was? I said I like the walks... But I want a little power as well... With that said I took Lofton
I voted for Ichiro because the Dodgers had Lofton already.
He's part of the organization like the guy selling peanuts.Maybe Ichiro can sign with the Trolley Dodgers after his current contract is up. Never lose out hope...Secret Agent Ned is STILL a part of your organization after all so I give it 50/50 shot.
