In the wake of these firings we as fanbases tend to forget that someone is getting fired and the lives of families and young children will be changing.

To sit here and say Bo refused to make changes is a childish thing to do because quite simply it's an assumption. We know nothing that went on behind the scenes.

And so, thank you Bo Pelini for getting the program out of the cellar and restoring some pride at least. You did several things wrong, but nobody is perfect. It's not your fault that we decided to let you cut your teeth here at this prestigious program.

With that said, it is time to move on. Just know that none of us truly have ill will towards you. We aren't that piss poor of human beings.

I wanted Bo to stay. I just wanted Papuchis and Beck gone.

Bo ran what seemed to be a very clean program. APR and GSR were above average. The student athletes were still turning out academic all americans.

Bo probably stayed true to his friends and told Nebraska to fire him. I would not mind being fired and paid 7.7 million or whatever he is getting.

Heck, I know I can retire with $3,000,000 in the bank. Pay me $3,000,000 for seven years and then an annuity for 7.7 million, there would be no stress in my life.

This is a huge risk for Eichorst and hope we find the right guy this time. At this point though, the risk of another shitty hire is worth not becoming complacent with 9 wins and blowout losses to any good team we play.

The only time I hope he doesn't have success is if he ends up as the OSU defensive coordinator, and when Nebraska plays OSU, or when we face any team he's a defensive coordinator at, or if he does end up as another head coach somewhere. Otherwise I wish him well wherever he goes.
