I try to avoid judging a team off one game... if it becomes a trend then I'll have my doubts... but Bama looked mortal against Georgia Southern last year, A&M looked weak against LA Tech before beating Bama, etc etc...

Who has looked that good this year though outside of possibly Oregon and Clemson?

It's early in the season and all, but almost all cfb teams have looked fairly mediocre at times this season.

Gonna meet you half way on this. "Not very good" ? I'll disagree, but will concur that we certainly don't look like a top 10.

We have alot of work to do & playing the likes of Florida International & Eastern KY will NOT offer us the type of challenges we need to make the necessary improvements. Nothing we can do about the schedule...it sucks out loud - but there's nothing we can do but lineup & play - try to improve and use each game as a practice. As much as I'd love to see us play a Georgia, a Stanford or a Oklahoma - I know for a fact that we'd take a few lumps. I believe we could hold our own against stiff competition, but more importantly, these games would prove invaluable in building our program - and challenge a team that is loaded with talent - but simply un proven.

It's gonna hurt Big Time if/when we get to a BCS Bowl. I just know it.

Regardless....Stay'in Strong in Louisville.

What's frustrating is that we have a boat load of talent but can't truly put it on display. Sure we can score 40 or 50 points & Teddy can rack up sick numbers...but I'd sure feel better if we could find out for certain, that we could do the same against ranked teams.

That UCF vs Ville game is looking like a better game than many of us thought. They have a good team and a hell of a QB.

S'what I'm talk'in about....UCF just beat Penn St and they have S Carlonia comin up ! They'll be tested & battle ready. Think they'll be ready for Louisville ? ? ? I sure do.

But I got faith in our guys and most of all in C Strong. He'll have'em ready.
