Another bogus decision by the B1G. I don't like how the divisions are aligned. IDK if anybody is used to the names by now. And now, they are sticking to 8 games.

We've already had to scrap upcoming home and homes with Okie State and several SEC schools

From what I heard the big issue the coaches were having was the unbalance of conference home and away games.

It kind of seems like the Big Ten has been caring more about it's traditions than it has its standings compared to conferences like the SEC and Big 12. It seems as long as the conference is very balanced, then it's okay as long as they don't break tradition. Don't get me wrong, I like some of the traditions and I am a Big Ten fan, but there is something they need to do something. It's been a decade since they won a National Championship. If they don't start doing something, the traditions they have will end up being worthless for a major conference.

Can't say as I agree with the OP. I'd like to stick at 8. But if the conference goes to 14 or 16, I don't think that will be possible.

I'd rather see a new Big Ten / SEC challenge every September. They also play just 8 conference games. But I bet the B1G will move to 9 when the SEC does.
