to prove all these "experts" wrong.

I am so tired of reading how the Rams supposedly reached for every guy in their draft and how their best pick wasn't a position of need.

I want these OLmen to finally solidify the OL and I want TNT ( Todd N Tre - yes, that's what I'm calling them ) to blow up these defenses with the holes this OL will provide.

I'm sooo tired of these "experts" thinking they know more about these players than the coaches and scouts that have spent 4 months and numerous hours examining every detailed facet of these players.

Time for the media "experts" to eat some crow.

Make it happen Rams cause I'm tired of hearing/reading about it.

It's not just reaching. It's projects, it's drinking straight Kool-Aid is what it is..

Position of need is a shutdown CB. We chose to go OT, then OT, then OT again.. What will you say when 1 or 2 of these OTs we draft get cut?

The first 2 picks are solid IMO. But some of the experts are right.. See my breakdown on the master draft thread

Our RAMS never gets any love from sports analyzers, especially ESPN commentators. It all about Dallas, New England and maybe the Whiners!

I've read your posts SJ and I highly respect your opinion.

But the Rams have one of the best OL coaches in the league and there is no way Snisher selected those guys without talking to him.

And if he was in agreement, then who are we ( or who are these "experts" ) to complain they were reaches?

I think I'll side with one of the best OL coaches over these so called "experts".

A coach can only do so much. Let's not forget that it took the #2 pick in the draft last year a month to get his first start. How can we expect these guys to come in and start day one without getting Foles killed? Would be nice if they could, but I'm not sure we can count on it.

I'm excited about Gurley! I like the first two Offensive linemen we took. I heard Fisher talking about starting some guys we already have that didn't play much last year too.

Depth at the O line could end up being the best thing for our team as it has been the weak link since Snisher arrived 3 seasons ago.

We are going to wins some games this year fellas!

And when we do, these so-called reaches wont matter.

I get where you are coming from, but that doesn't mean the Oline coach can make apple sauce out of mushrooms my man.. I highly respect your opinion as well ALR. None of us truly know what will happen with these guys.

All I have said is that we could have still gotten 1 of those OTs after going after a 1st/2nd round talent at CB with that first 3rd round pick that's going to be the real deal... Especially when you add in the 6th round pick at OG from Fresno St as well. I don't know if the Iowa OT makes the team to be honest - so that 3rd OT could have been picked up elsewhere.

As far as QBs, I look at the defenses we face and to have a QB that can't move and make plays with his legs is asking for trouble. We've watched that for a few years.

These are my opinions.. And of course I think I can draft better. I do like the first 2 picks a lot. But when you look at the athletes we could have had with those first 5 picks, MAN it could have been one of the best drafts in Rams History.

Sorry SJ76 but we did not need a CB. Our secondary is fine. QB not my pick but not a bad one. Nobody ever knows how any players will turn out. That's why u play the game. U have to start with the line on both sides Of the ball. So we needed to address that with multiple picks.
Our Defense will pick up where it left off last year with a upgrade at QB and RB. In turn we will dominant clock having a rested defense.

Defensive stats 1st half of season vs 2nd half..
21 touchdowns allowed first 8 gms. 23.25 pts opp. Avg.

Last 8 gms. 10 touchdowns 13.25 pts opp.avg.
Sacks: 1st 8 gms..14 last 8gms..26
Passer rating: 1st 8gms: 103.23
Last 8gms : 79.04

Rushing yds per att. 1st 8gms 4.6 last 8gms 3.5

Adding OL help was essential. Now its up to the Coaches to coach. We"ll play with a lil help from the offense and a better understanding of the defense and it's going to be fun ! #1Defense #1000YDRusher

Adding Barron and him coming on the second half had us rolling on D. EJ Gaines is a stud he'll push Jenkins n Johnson for a spot. If not he's a hell of backup. Roberson also started playing well the end if the season. Throw in Joyner and the Claiborne kid can tackle. Our defense will have fresh legs unlike past years of quick 3 and outs. CB shouldn't be a area of weakness they won't have to cover that long. Let's all be patient and get ready cuz we're gonna be nasty. We drafted run blockers so guess what we're gonna do ?

Problem is, Jenkins and Johnson are both free agents next year. Adding another CB would've been a potential back-up plan and cap-savings option.

I like the positive attitude. But being blind is being blind.

We don't need a CB?? Remember the Giants game? We got torched man. Our secondary is good huh? Remember Janoris getting burnt badly? Should we blame that on him or the coaches? Do we have a shutdown corner?

I dont think u read my entire post as it addresses the OLine.
The smart thing to do is take a CB with a lot of talent over 1 of 2 project OT/OG projected in the 4-5 round that u could have got 15 picks later. Remember Rok Watkins?

Remember us trading the #45 pick to the Bears for a second round pick Isiah Pead and a 5th Rok Watkins? Rock was a"mauler" of a run blocker but he was as dumb as a rock and couldn't pass block very well. We had a pocket QB then too.

U know who that #45 pick was? That we traded man? Welcome to the board btw

Mo Claiborne?? Would love to have him but he's in Dallas. He's got shutdown CB potential

Joyner is your nickel cover guy he's not your shutdown CB

Do any of you realize how good PJ would have made this defense? We have a deep CB group with talent, but no one has really stood out to be one of the best in the league.

We don't have Rich Sherman. That's what we need to have a great D!

I know you were clamoring for PJ, but there are no guarantees that he will stay out of trouble any more than there are guarantees the OL will solidify.

but if I'm a coach and my job may be on the line, I'm going to take the less risky prospect.

Fisher could afford to take guys with risky character early on because the Rams lacked talent everywhere and he wasn't going to get canned right away if it backfired.

he is now on the proverbial hot seat and his job is on the line. I think if this team isn't over .500 this season he is gone and I think he knows that which is why he decided to go the safer route.

after all, if he doesn't get the job done and is canned, what does he care if the Rams have a contingency plan at CB if Johnson and Jenkins leave? he drafted to try and get this team over the hump to save his job.

like it or not, we are stuck with the draft- good, bad or otherwise.

could you have drafted better? probably. would you have drafted that way knowing your job was on the line and if you didn't get the team over the hump you wouldn't be around to see Williams or Hundley develop into the players you think they are going to be? well, only you can answer that.

like it or not, coaches do draft differently if their job isn't secure and they are trying to protect it.

Oh I get it but there are risks being made all over the board.

I think a really good talented CB is worth it if Gurley is worth it. No FSU player had more big plays in big games than PJ Williams. Hes gonna be a beast. You'll see :)

It's just smart to take him and then go get one of your project OGs - who will be there 15 picks later.

And I wasnt the only guy on the draft thread that wanted us to get PJ Williams btw. I know u think I'm going homer, but I'm not. I didnt want Tre Jackson and I really didn't want Joyner in the 2nd round last year. Oh yeah Joyner wasn't the best CB on that FSU natty...

While what you're saying technically makes sense, if Fisher and Snead aren't really thinking about the future, why take a QB in the 3rd round at all? We already had Davis and Keenum to backup Foles. Would taking PJ Williams really make less sense? Both would be picked for the future, however its more likely a guy like Williams would contribute immediately, right?

Gurley was a good pick. Him and Mason together is scary. The QB pick was a head scratcher.

The kid got a DUI. I was lucky I didn't have 4 DUIs in college. Hell im lucky I didn't get tazed by the cops a few times.

And I believe the charges were dropped 4 days before the draft, yes?
