But what if right now, today, they are not better? I've pretty much bailed on Ribeye, I'm thinking he will be no more than a career backup. I have had big hopes for Long since draft day but it does nobody any good to throw him out there before he is ready.

According to everything I have been hearing/reading around here Joan Rivers would be better than Chester or Polumbus... and she died last week. So at some point they need to just make the switch because the train of thought appears to be, no one could do worse. So Ribeye, Long and Moses have got to be better right??

I would agre. So start the young guys who are supposed to be better pass protectors. Who needs an average of 6.5 yards per carry on the ground rushing in todays passing NFL.

So Cooley's breakdown regarding Polumbus ..... Robert needs to quit running to the right after dropping back, I know it his instinct but we know Polumbus is going to block his man to 10 yards behind the LOS and Robert is running right into a sack. Coach Gruden also mentioned Robert took a couple of sacks he shouldn't have.

Is Polumbus going to be All Pro, of course not. He is not as bad as a lot of you think. Very few talk about how good he is in the run game. Now if you can find a RT that can run block like Polumbus and pass block better at the same price I'd be happy to have him because we do not have cap room for a higher salaried player.

Do you read every post? Because if you did, the VAST majority are arguing that the young guys are not ready yet. In fact, only 2 posters are calling for the benching of Polumbus. The rest are arguing against. Not sure where you are getting the "everything you've read and heard" stance.

j_y..... I have lost count of the number of times I have read the words... NO one could be worse (suck more, be as bad) as Tyler Polumbus on this board. By that logic, ready or not... Moses compton, or my fat cousin Bobby would be better. So my thinking is, if these guys suck that badly, what have we got to lose by benching them and putting in the young guys??

Yes, and its the same couple of knuckleheads posting it. Again, the VAST majority on this board argue against those knuckleheads.

Listened to Cooley today as well. Good breakdown from him on Polumbus. And I agree with ya.

For those who are interested, Cooley will be breaking down Griff tomorrow. IMO, He always provides insight that most cannot know about the Griffs decision making and a realistic take on His progress.
