I just want a little transparency. That way we know if mods are telling one story to one person and another to someone else. The shutting of the thread was a joke. Glad dash came to his senses about it. I have no problem with dash. I have a problem with the decision making process and I will just say it here.

If a mod PMs me about my behavior or an issueime this, I WILL go public with it. Just FYI. Ban me for standing up to you or whatever, but this isn't an autocracy and I am not afraid of a moderator on an anonymous message board.

I called you out publicly because you serve the board and should be held accountable to the board for your actions or inactions. It is all coCvered on my second private message. No more private messages, k! If you want to confront me, let's do it with transparency.

I saw a thread getting out of control and decided to close it. You didn't agree with my decision and sent me a private message (which is cool). I explained my reasons and you responded with a second private message (also cool). Then you decided to create a blatantly sarcastic thread blasting me and the other mods (not so cool, in my opinion). I have since relented and decided to re-open the thread because I realized closing that thread prevents other Caps and Rangers posters from continuing to contribute to the board. As I said, just consider this a warning that personal attacks and name-calling are verboten.

I hope that is enough transparency and "nutting up" for you...

No, you bring it to the other mods. We aren't perfect and we usually do consult with each other over actions that may or may not be taken. Via PM. Then you'll get copied on the decision and why it was made. And sometimes a decision made by a mod will be reversed by a majority consensus. There is transparency and an attempt at consistency, but we all can't be here at all times, so sometimes things move at a snail's pace.

I really don't consider the NHL board my jurisdiction, but allow me to chime in. The mods need to handle things in pm's in order to keep the drama down. This thread is a good example of what we all do not want happening.

A little dust up is expected every now and then - especially with the passionate hockey fans we have here. Just recognize it as that, and move on.

Everyone here is a awesome. Although the mods make mistakes from time-to-time, no one can honestly say that the mods are unfair, overbearing, or hypocritical.

If someone feels that they need to get some trolling out of their system, take it to the General Discussion board where you will most likely get your ass kicked by everyone else. Trolling is more acceptable there.

Relax and enjoy the NHL board that we all helped build.
