I like the avatars on the thread page....

It makes it easier to see who's threads you really want to read...and the + or - minus for the thread isn't really a big deal....just my opinion...

For example, I always know not to bother checking out any threads when I see an Avatar of Robert De Niro standing in front of a.......

Oh, right..........yikes!

I go on a 1 week hiatus and the entire forum's setup changes....

I like the small photo of the team you support under your avatar in posts, but the change to the messageboard setup is lame. Bring back the avatar pictures and don't worry about a rating system.

Remember the old saying. If it ain't broken or squeaken, don't fix it. The old setup was crisp, clean and easy to read, the Avatars actually helped break up the endless lines of text to make it easier to read which post was which as well as make it easier to see who started the post. Also, nobody was complaining about the old setup, so why change it. It appears to me that you took a well thought out and well executed setup for the general page and jumped backwards a few versions. It is harder to read, especially for prolonged periods of time, it provides less "at a glance information", and its not as pretty.

I believe ghost did some reformatting to free up server space. In the meantime, it created a problem linking the avatar in the thread lists.
He may be working on a fix.

I don't mind it though as stated above because it does allow for more threads on each page.

I am indifferent on the rating.
