Of not having too high of expectations for Husker football.

I won't be too terribly disappointed with a 9-3 regular season. Unless of course that 3rd loss were to come @ Iowa and knocks NU out of the CCG.

More than 9 wins will be R_A sunshine pumping going into 2013. Anything less and I'll be a fucking basket case from January-August of 2013.

Seriously....Based upon NU appearing more physical this season, I don't see anyone blowing them out in the disastrous fashion of the Wisconsin, Michigan, or S. Carolina games last season. Therefore I can't picture them losing more than 3 regular season.

These 7 games.....@UCLA, Wisconsin, @Ohio St, Michigan, @ Michigan St, Penn St, @ Iowa are where NU will find the most parity.
Sloppy, undisciplined, lethargic play in any of them will likely result in a close loss. It's a tougher schedule than NU ever saw in the Big XII.

I felt since before last year that 2013 would be the season where NU gets back to prominence. A lateral season this year or even a one game improvement will have me pretty excited for next season.

Long as we don't make a habit of it...

I would prefer for us to be expected to compete for a title every season.

That would mean Nebraska is winning a lot of big games and is giving people a reason to expect that.

Any or all of those teams I could easily see us posting a big L, just not psu, they're going to be a wreck, and Iowa, well they could be just beating a dead horse at that point if it goes this bad for us.

About Penn St.

Most of the guys they've lost were backups. Those sanctions aren't going to have a major immediate impact. I expect they'll have a winning season and start tailing off next year.

As pointed out by the Northwestern and Iowa St stuff. A loss doesn't have to come from one of the seven I posted that I feel have parity w/ NU.

Heck South Dakota St came in here and put a scare into the Huskers.
