Ward plays hard. No one questions his ability to do the "dirty" work of a WR. Heck of a blocking WR.

He also will tear you down when you're not looking. Right, wrong, indifferent, it's the truth.

Also, a lot of fans are glad he's out of the league.

It is not like Ward did not play every down on offense or catch passes over the middle or take hits. He delivered them and then manned up over the middle. I never understood the hate for him. If I played a position where I was hit every time I touched the ball, you can be damn sure I would look to light people up when I could. Ward never shied away from contact when he was the recipient. Chad Johnson is a worthless tool. He has been for 4 years now, maybe more. Before his antics were about having fun and being light hearted, but they turned more into a look at me show, along with, what can I get away with now. He is side show and worthless as an NFL player now. He may as well enjoy his roster spot with NE, where he can hope he gets a ring, because once he is done from NE, his career is over as an NFL player, as if it wasn't over already.
