I had a good cry this morning.

This video pushed me over the top this morning. All I could think about is his wife and kids, my wife and kids, and all of his former teammates. I don't give a shit what anybody says, I've considered all of these guys like family for decades...

A tribute to Ruslan Salei. Some good highlights with somber piano playing in the backround. It got me pretty good. Probably had some to do with me being the only one up in a dark quiet house and that I just picked up my daughter from the airport after her being gone for over a week.

Its all good... Real men shed tears. The 9/11 tribute I woke up to on my TV Sunday morning had me going. They were showing footage I had never seen before, shit was rough.

The whole Lokomotiv ordeal hit that note as well.

Between 9/11 stuff (you know those videos you find that you know will chill you, but you can't look away? Yeah, watched those) and reading on puck daddy about the goalies son who pointed at his picture during his memorial service and yelled "daddy!" I've lost complete control of my tears.

Strange, I didn't put this together until I seen your post.
On 9/11 I was pulled into my Directors office to watch and listen to information about the attacks.

I just realized that one of my friends at work that was with me on 9/11 is the same guy that told me about the plane crash that took the lives of the KHL players, we were watching the news on the same TV in my office...

I think I'm going to get rid of that TV and get a new one...

My wife asked me what was wrong this morning. All I could say is "Those we're my brothers."

I know I am mostly a sarcastic prick, but for me just this once, let a loved one know how you feel. Goodnight brothers and sisters.

I remember when the Ducks drafted him in the 1st round. It was generally thought that he was a lock to have a good NHL career. He lived up to the hype & played well for a long time.

Salei & everyone else on that plane deserved better. This is just an awful tragedy that will have a huge impact on the hockey world for many years to come.
