The above post is one of the dumbest I've seen in a long, long time.

The Smith trade will set the franchise back five years?!?! What? Why is that, exactly? Why does trading for A Smith "set the franchise back five years?"

Be specific.

Now what's the best way to prove it was the right move give ALEX SOME Weapons if Alex fails at least from a PR stand point the FO can say we got him weapons .. with that said it's going to be about the O that's where the FA money is going to go in the draft we have 7 picks I say 4 offense 3 defense no order

I would like to see us draft a RB with the 2nd round pick, sign Albert Wilson and Paul Richardson as well as sign a LG. Smith would be set for success. We need more help at WR than we think. Let Grant walk.

i would be happy if we got a quality wr out of FA . and perhaps a quality CB or safety . you have to think that if we sign 6 fa's , 4 wont work out like we hope . if we fill 2 needs with quality players we should be fine

resigning long BB TM and brown would be huge (some like BB and Brown are long shots )

I cried in 2000 when the Skins lost in the divisional game because Norv Turner strayed away from the game plan in the last 5 minutes of the game.

What are you talking about? That game plan which you seem to be implying was working in some fashion managed two FGs and had all of 167 total yards, 46 rushing yards at 2 yards a pop and 121 yd passing. The Skins only managed 10 first downs for the game and was 3/14 on 3rd dn and 0/1 on 4th dn. The killers far as that game goes had little to do with a game plan. Brad Johnson's weenie armed ass lost that game for the Skins. When he underthrew Albert "Sticky Fingers" Connell who had gotten behind TB's entire secondary and scores easy if Johnson hits him in stride. Instead big ol' weenie arm underthrew him by what looked to be 10 yards and a straight up duck. Which allowed John Lynch to make an INT. The Redskins managed one offensive play of 20+ yards the entire game and Johnson's ypa was 4.7 ypa.

And I think the Skins would've beat the Rams in the NFCGC personally. For whatever reason we matched up with them pretty well. 00

nah terrible fans are the ones who sell their seats to opposing fans, dont come, and/or dont give a shit about the game when they are their.

skins have zero home field advantage.

You dont know a thing about me. I've been a die hard fan my entire life in enemy territory. I watched the Giants win twice while living in Giants territory, Eagles win once while living in Eagles territory, and the Steelers win twice while I was in college in PA where 1/3 of the campus rooted for the Steelers.

I cried when Sean Taylor died
I lost hours and hours of sleep when RG3 tore his acl in the playoffs
I cried in 2000 when the Skins lost in the divisional game because Norv Turner strayed away from the game plan in the last 5 minutes of the game.

I've spent 25 years fighting for my fandom in "enemy" territory, while the skins embarrassed themselves and me countless times, taking a ton of shit for 25 years for being a skins fan. Its a lot easier being a browns fan in cleveland where you can share your misery. Trying being a skins fan when everyone around you is winning and there isnt really anyone around who understands what is like to lose for 25 straight years.

And through the 25 years of constant bullshit no one has hurt me more then the management of the Redskins.

Paraphrasing what GK said "did you still love your wife after she cheated on you socal?"

I'm very confident that I know more then the skins over the last 20 years then you do. I'd be willing to put your medicaid on it, and yes DC as a place to live does suck.

go kick rocks old man

LOL - do you need a crying towel? I have been rooting for all DC teams for a very long time in spite of poor records. I never once considered switching fandom. If you are so diehard you would have never considered now becoming an Eagles fan (conveniently after they win the SB). Whatever dude - keep spewing your hatred & ragging on just about everyone on this forum. Enjoy pal.

pretty sure shark and I nearly have identical takes...

ego vs spite is semantics that I am not willing to break down because whatever you want to call it, the style is still detrimental to the team...

btw a lot of people havent moved on from the A. Smith trade.... probably because A) its a trade that will set the franchise back 5 years B) its not even official yet C) its the offseason before free agency

you are a fraud

It's not official yet? WTF? Again - my pt is that I root for the Redskins regardless of the names on the back of the jerseys. In this case this means I root for Alex Smith - is that too hard for you to comprehend. It sounds like you don't move on from anything in life & are consumed by hatred in some form. Your recent posts on this forum have been in this manner & have been pretty laughable. Again - please go root for the Eagles.

Whatever Philly guy. You obviously have not read my posts over time. I have made it clear that I don't like Snyder or Allen & I was all for extending Cousins. However - unlike you - I realize that at some pt you have to move on.

Moving on for me means hoping for the best for the team. Unlike you & some others rooting for another NFL team will never be an option for me. Again - if you think that Bruce Allen stews all day long & thinks of new ways to get back at Kirk Cousins then you are a fool. Oh well - don't let me stop you from making your millionth post about how Smith sucks, the DC area is garbage & all of the shortcomings of the Redskins.

Please, please, please become an Eagles fan already.
Philly guy has been here 5 min, pay no attention SoCal. On March 14th, hopefully everyone can move on. The haters (of the deal: letting KC go, acquiring AS) will continue to hate and breed negativity around the team and or fan base. Others will move on and cheer and continue to support whomever wears burgundy & Gold.

I read Brown wants to be paid like Bobby Wagner and Luke K. He's nowhere near the caliber player of either one. We need a proper NG/DT and another decent interior DL for depth/rotation far more than we need an ILB who's only real strong suit is tackling.

I'd like to see TM back as well. He'll never be a star per se, but he can be that player that never really gets the credit he deserves, that does his job and will make plays more from out-working an opponent and hustle as anything else.

2-3 years of a failed Alex Smith experiment with no real hope at a SB. Followed by a rookie qb who either rides the pine behind a stop gap year 1 or goes through the growing pains. 1-2 more years to get acclimated to NFL = 5 years

get it?

I was in like 7th grade but I distinctly remember the skins in the last couple minutes methodically moving the ball down field by dinking and dunking. Picking up first downs on the way. Then when we were on the fringe FG range Turner dialed up 3 deep passes in a row which fell incomplete.

We attempted the 50 yard field goal and either missed it or it was blocked to pretty much end the game. I dont remember him missing Connell but I dont doubt it happened either

We can't afford Robinson. He is going to watch 10-14 million. He would take all of our cap. We need more money to be honest.

No we don’t. That is the problem with how many think. They think 10 million per year means 10 million this year against the cap. You put off cap hits into future years because ten million this year is not equal to ten million this year.

If you sign Robinson for 10 million per season, he probably only counts 6-8 million this season.

I guess I don't understand how NFL contracts work but needless to say, I don't think we should be paying Robinson 10 -14 million a year after he is coming off an ACL tear.

What do you think Paul Richardson and Albert Wilson will sign for per year and what do you estimate the cap number for 2018 will be. To be honest, that is who I would go with given Smith's history with Wilson and the fact that he can be a PR. I like Richardson stretching the field of course.
