And where in there does it say the league is going to do anything with that information? Or even retain it? The league flat out said they weren’t doing anything with the numbers and were just verifying the procedure was being followed. They never had any intention of studying or using those numbers in any meaningful way.

The NFL may well be the worst corporate league of all of the professional leagues.

We all must continually remind ourselves that the NFL is the biggest revenue generating sport in history. There are 32 men and women who allow one poerson to be the face and target of anything that they don't want to touch. It's a secret society that is comprised of incredibly wealthy owners who literally do very little other than approve something after 32 legal corporations have tirelessly reviewed it. If they screw up, they have a Commissioner to take a bullet.

Think of it this way......

Bob Kraft bought the Patriots 25 years ago for about $600M. Kraft never had any money, he married money and rebuilt his father in laws failing paper business. Once his father in law turned the business over to him without controls, he built it into an Empire of lumber, paper, cardboard boxes and transportation. Oh yeah, he did buy out his wife's father. Then Kraft did the unthinkable, he built a stadium using his own money and letting a few corporations help him for future considerations. He also was smart enough to buy every square foot of property around his stadium for about a quarter mile before he tore down the old stadium. Kraft isn't a genius, he just knew that he could grow his empire even larger making one smart move at a time.

Today he's worth about $8-$10B. Not only does he own the Patriots, Gillette and Patriots Place. His other son, the one who is not involved with the Patriots, runs the paper business which is also the largest producer of custome packaging in the world. Those Fedex boxes, Amazon boxes, UPS boxes? Pizza boxes? Christmas and gift bags?

Most owners are just like Kraft. The NFL team is a toy to them and we are energy that keep the toy moving. I guess you could say that we're the NFL Energizer Bunnies.
