Lots of people in that Canzano article believe this was just a rebuilding year and the natty is coming in at most two seasons.

I remember being in that level of denial when Neuheisel came on and when Sark came here. It's easy to get wrapped up on homeristic optimism and believe what you want to believe, not what you are actually seeing.

The truth is the Don James', Chip Kelly, Chris Petersen's of the conference don't come along that easily.

Tell USC how easy it is to reach the top again simply because of solid recruiting. How many failed next guys have lead that team to mediocre seasons with all that talent?

Easy to get wrapped up in thinking you can catch lightning in a bottle again, but much harder and a lot less likely to happen in reality.
