Florida State stays ahead of us after giving up 37 points at home to one of the worst Offenses in the country.......and after losing the game by double digits to fucking boot.

Amazing how the voters were so hesitant to rank FSU anything higher than 10th, but now that Florida kicked their asses the voters are hesitant to drop them??????

I'd assume we will be 12th in the BCS tonight beings that we have a huge computer advantage over FSU.....

But looking ahead to next week......we could potentially win the BIG reeling off 7 straight and finishing 11-2 and have a strong SOS......and end up outside the Top 10 going into the Rose Bowl.

The AP had FSU #10 and the Coaches had them #5 last week.

Harris had them #6 so it depends how far they drop them.

NU might still get them in the BCS computers, we'll see.

Naturally the one season we decide to make a run there is barely any drama in the Top 10.....

Any other year we would be about #8 right now and trying for a Top 5 finish.......

But not this season......this season nobody wants to upset anyone in the Top 10.

I guess realistically winning the Rose Bowl could shoot us up as many as 5 spots beings as every top 10 team has a chance to lose in Bowl games.....

Was going to root for UCLA to upset Stanford in their CCG rematch, but I think the Rose Bowl will get more attention with Stanford in it and Top 10.

As long as NU takes care of business they will finish in top 8 at least. And, after all, that is what is most important: Where we end up, not where we are right now.

The projected BCS rankings have us ahead of Florida State pretty easily and in at #12. That is what I figure it will be as well.

So here are the remaining opportunities we have to move up in the rankings before the Bowl game (and assuming we win the BIG).

#11 Oklahoma @ TCU
#17 Texas @ #6 Kansas State
#16 UCLA @ #7 Stanford

In my opinion, it is very likely that Nebraska would go into the Rose Bowl remaining at #12.

The only other game involving teams ahead of us is #2 Alabama vs #3 Georgia......

Even if one of those teams beats the other by 35 points, they'll still be ahead of us.......so that game is a non-factor.
