Hurting at 1B? ...something to think about

I have a strong feeling that when Holliday comes back, he will be playing a lot of 1B. If you suck at first and waivers is crap, try to buy Holliday (cheap hopefully) and you might have a 1B come August.

Speaking of 1B, can Papi play there? Seems the Sox would be better off with Hanley at DH and an actual OF in front of the monster. And Napoli is just awful at the plate.

Not just saying that because I own Castillo, Hanley is ugly out there!

Papi has played 1st but i think its his legs that wouldnt hold up playing there everyday BTW Papi is not doing much better than Napoli and is awful vs lefties .120 while napoli is a little better 226 maybe platoon?

But whose to say Hram is any better at 1st than at LF?And now theres talk he is acting up What a surprise

It was only a matter of time before he started to act up.

Big Papi can play 1st but sparingly. I would not want him there as the Red Sox everyday player. Napoli is certainly a better defender but his bat is terrible as well right now. Granted everyone not named Brock Holt is, but he is one hell of a streaky hitter (Napoli) who possibly could turn it around.

My Papi/Hanley/Napoli prediction is coming true!

Grichuk has been slowing down lately so maybe my Holliday one won't. ...but I think the Cards would be better off if they did.
