New Jersey just announced that they have placed both players on waivers, and if they clear will buy out both players. $5 million cap hit for the two next year will have a total buyout caphit of under $2 million.

Hunter is understandable to me. What's the next step for White? He's been with the Devils for 10-11 years I believe.

I love White, he was a soldier for us and part of 2 cup teams so I wish him well. Given the right situation he can still be effective and is a leader. It's a good move both financially and for the on ice product. This should allow some of our younger guys (Larsson) to get playing time.

I actually wouldn't be surprised if they showed interest. Whether White would sign is another story.
