for Bills position

they are currently looking at their past "greatest comeback" hero Frank Reich, which would be a homer move, next interview after that, Hue Jackson

Buffalo won't hire him. I wouldn't be surprised to see him get another HC gig somewhere though. The Bengals will sit back and watch another quality assistant walk out the door, because that's just what they do.

How the hell are they supposed to stop a good coordinator from leaving for a HC job? They aren't getting rid of Marvin, so not exactly sure what you expect them to do?

No shit. Obviously I'm being bitter because I want Marvin to be let go. It's just annoying because Zimmer and Hue would be better HC for this franchise than the current top man.

It's what almost every team does. It's rare that a team prevents a guy from leaving to take a HC job somewhere.

It was well established that Hue was only here until he got another shot at a HC gig...

No offense, but this statement is ignorant.

No offense taken. My statement was based on my belief that the assistant leaving is better than the HC. Based on the frustration with the organization's failure to recognize that. I'm well aware that assistants leave all the time to be HC's elsewhere. This isn't news.

What, exactly, had Hue Jackson done to impress people so much that they think he deserves to replace Marvin? He was a HUGE factor in them losing that game yesterday and the last game in Indy. I don't get why people fall in love with these guys who appear mediocre at best. I got why people wanted Zimmer. I didn't understand Gruden, I didn't understand why people wee upset about Butch Jones leaving UC, I don't get why people are so impressed by Hue Jackson. His offense sure as hell couldn't have been there reason.

Creative gameplans, willing to adjust, holds his players accountable, has some fire to him...you know, all things that Marvin lacks..

That said, maybe folks are just so ready for Marv to be gone, they will cling to an assistant that isn't special just because they're bitter and disgruntled.

His game plans were shit. They failed to make adjustments all year. They were extremely shitty all season. I love Hue's personality and demeanor, buy that doesn't always equate to success. I will say I thought he got a raw deal in Oakland, but he's probably better off.

This.

Since Mike Brown will not surrender GM, Marvin is our HC for life. It is what it is.

This.

Hue is a decent offensive coordinator, but he's nothing special. Gruden probably got more out of less, yet nobody cared when he hit the road.

My only question/defense for Hue is, I'd like to see how he did without Marvin looking over his shoulder. For some reason, Marvin treats Dalton like a son, and all of his post game comments are about other players protecting the QB, making the QB better. I think Marvin has a bigger part in the offensive gameplan than we think.
