thank you for talking about tennis on here.

i know i'm very direct and harsh with my opinions, but i'm glad there are some real tennis fans on here. hopefully we can get more to come here and avoid more trolls?

i'd include smart if they posted more often.....

As long as the tennis fan is articulate and doesn't obsess, this forum can be really good. If I see people who are overtly trolling or racist, they are gone. And I mean reverse racism as well. To all true tennis fans I tip my hat and wish you happy posting.

I was surprised at that too. Not like there are tons of tennis boards out there to go to. If you (or anyone) has any idea where they might have gone, let me know. Maybe we can get them here.

I am a die hard Fed fan and a Nadal dislike specialist (not hater because as a person I think he could be cool), don't like SW and not afraid to show it. But above everything else I love tennis and will be following it with the same passion even after Fed retires (scary thought). I was a die hard Steffi Graf fan and thought tennis would die off for me when she retired, but it didn't. Boris, Pete kept it alive. I even liked Serena for a while when she was a fresh blood in the WOMENS game, but I think Seles did the most damage to the image I had of the women's game with her grunting. Gradually I turned away but followed a little bit of the Capriati, Dementieva era. The big power hitters came with Davenport and brought a very ungainly sight of the WTA. Luckily Fed came along as well. But after he is gone someone else will take up the mantle. I will still be analyzing wins and losses and the game and how it changes with equipment and physique/fitness evolution.
