How to fix this team, not saying how, asking how

1. We just locked up Romo for at least 3 years. 2 more after this season then we can start talking about cutting him if need be.

2. We only have a certain amount of draft picks, and no cap room and JJ&Co. will just push more money back and back instead of eating it for a season or two.

3. Still no GM and a puppet as a HC.

4. An owner/GM who thinks you invest a lot into two press corners then go out the next year and sign a zone coverage DC.

5. Whatever I missed.


How do you correct all of these things because JJ and company wont bite the bullet for a year or two.

IMO, the only way this gets really fixed, is if we miss the playoffs again, and Jerry, feeling the pressure of another prime year with Romo wasted, finally hires a real Head Coach and gives him the same type of authority he gave Jimmy and Bill. Let him clean house on the coaching staff, let him decide what schemes we run, let the scouting department draft players that fit his schemes, and continue using the draft instead of FA to build the talent base. Otherwise, it's just another 8-8 season, which is about to hit 3 straight years running

With the turnover we have had with coaches recently, I'm not sure cleaning house on the coaching staff is what is needed.

This team is just a bad team ravaged by injuries. I know other teams have injuries too and get by. We get no pressure whatsoever and we have no running game. Somehow we are 4-4 and in first place. We have lost 3 games by a total of 5 points. Its really amazing to me . The good old turnover thing is the difference. We are a plus 9 on the year , second in the league to KC who is plus 12 and 8-0. Plus 9 by the rule suggests that we should be a lot better than 4-4 , but I really think its the reason we are 4-4 and the reason we have had a chance. If we dont get the turnovers we are probably 2 and 6. We have a good special teams. We just have no consistency either side of the ball and it is because of the trenches.

The record says we are the best team in the East but it also says KC is the best in the AFC. Still half the season to go .
