How many wins will take the division?

I'm thinking 91. If the Rangers can go 10-8 the Angels would have to go 13-6 to tie.

10-8 would be underachieving in my opinion. I think it takes 91 wins like you said but I think Texas goes 12-6 or 13-5 at least down the stretch for 93 or 94 wins. I just don't see la winning more than 90 or 91 games no matter how well they play. I expect them to drop 4 to NY and TOR.

92 should do it. Of course I think the Rangers will need to win #92 in Anaheim to wrap it up, but overall 92-70 should win the division.

10-5 in the stretch before the Anaheim series would be kinda underwhelming for who we play, Oakland & Seattle twice, I say we end up 12-3 and the division is over before we get to Anaheim with 93 wins

I'd like to hope for 94 wins, would make for a great run carrying us into the post season and hopefully give us home field advantage instead of DET. But 92 should be enough to beat out LA.

Okay ... here's something to think about.

If LAA stays hot right on TEX tail all the way to the end ... they have a good shot of be the AL Wild Card.

LAA is 7.0 behind BOS ... but only .5 behind TBR. BOS has been bleeding heavy since TEX visited ... and TBR is 5-5 in their last 10 and facing a horrible final schedule. TBR believe it or not in its final xx games has 7 still to play w/BOS and 7 still to play with NYY. The ALE race is far far far from over ... and a dog fight between those three is going to eat up pitching which NYY and BOS don't have ... and is going to wear out TBR too.

LAA could very easily sneak in right behind TBR to nip BOS out for WC ... so TEX needs to keep the pedal down hard ... every game ... every night ... every inning.

Well ... I'd prefer for TEX to buckle down and extend it's ALW lead and recover the #2 seed position ... because if LAA gets the WC then TEX gets DET ... and in a short series BETTER have HFA over DET.
