Yet again the QB is a question mark.

The consensus from most longhorns tell me Ash is done due to concussions. Swoops despite having elite talent on paper hasn't shown anything and if really is that elite why did McCoy play over him?

I picked 7 games but we all know cause im a hater.

Growing pains next year all due to the QB, again.

He figured the senior, Case McCoy was a better option than the unproven raw freshman.


Mack wasn't worried about what Swoopes was capable of in 2014, he needed to make it through 2013 first.


If he was more secure in 2013, I suspect he would have rotated both McCoy and Swoopes to see what he had instead of sticking with Case and praying for a miracle.

I'm going with 8 wins, but I think you're off base on Swoopes. Mack has been known to bury elite talent on a depth chart.....I don't know if Swoopes has it tho.

Heard may be that guy however. We'll see what Strong does, how he puts this team together and how he uses the talent already here.

I'm making the trip to Dallas to see UCLA play Texas. I expect UCLA to win and I'm usually very pessimistic (predicted 8 wins this season). 2014 will be UCLA's best team this millennium. I will be disappointed if they don't make the playoff this season despite a schedule that includes Stanford, Oregon, Texas, USC, Washington and Arizona State amongst teams that could have a preseason ranking.

'should' depends upon the coach. Just go back to Mack trying to force Vince Young to play like a drop-back passer. Even his NFL coach tried that.

I put 9 wins, as I'm always on the 'glass half full side' of things... Heard, after watching him play, is real talent. Would really like to redshirt him. Manziel, Winston, VY, all redshirted. OL has a number of young guys that have talent, as line was recruited well last two years. DE DL is also sitting pretty good. DTs are the hardest to get, so hope we can pick one up this season.
