How is Stanford's Coach Shaw a head coach?

Thought this deserved a thread of its own. He is absolutely terrible. He is suppose to run the offense, but the man is clueless. He looks like he closes his eyes and points at a play in his playbook. Not to mention he is the WORST play caller in the red zone. He is lucky he had Luck to bail him out last year. This is pretty much the equivalent of Gus Malzahn and Gene Chizik hiding behind Cam.

He was the offensive coordinator under Harbaugh. It had never been more clear than last year that he clearly was not the play caller under Harbaugh.

huh. I fail to see how Shaw is a joke in many minds. Guy lost a football game by 4 pts last night, but was driving pretty well on that final drive and if it wasn't for his QB either just simply making a bad pass or his TE failing to finish running down field on the route Stanford could have won that game....

Shaw is no Harbaugh, but he isn't that bad of a coach. The PAC-12 has far worse coaches within its conference.

There were stories of... instead of practicing, he'd take the team up into the mountains and play guitar to them.
