True statement. The good SEC teams win their OCC match-ups when playing good opponents.

They are rightfully being rewarded for that in the rankings.

I guess I just don't see the problem. With the exception of Duke, the play-off committee ranked the P5's with wins/losses being it's priority. Of the teams with equal losses they used SOS to put them in order.

I can understand if the butt hurt was for Duke, but that's not what I'm seeing.

It seemed that SOS was kind of a tie breaker on teams that were close. Margin of victory seemed big as well.

So a pile of stats bundled up that, as the article says, "It is probably a fair assumption to say F/+ is the best quantitative measure of team skill that exists at this moment" are now labeled as "facts"? Stats can be manipulated in any way the person looking at them wants them to. The F/+ may be a good measure of a teams skill but that doesn't factor in matchups and how teams compete against each other.
