We became a lazy spoiled team and fanbase after the success the 90s. All of you wanted Solich fired and Pederson did what the fans wanted. Brought in Callahan, which everyone loved until he proved (once again) that he is a horrible head coach. Shit went south in a hurry. And then it was Texas's fault. We couldn't get a fair shake because of Texas. Texas, the evil Texas. But it's still the same fanbase, believe in everything coming out of lincoln until the performance says something different.

It will be a great day when Nebraska is on top again, I just hope most of you don't see it.

i was spoiled from birth...my first memories of Nebraska football were from about 94-97. i came back down to earth once i was old enough to realize that the Huskers didn't win every game on their schedule every year. this made the late 2000's hard to deal with.

When my family found out frank was fired it was like someone had just died. Dinner conversation revolved around Pederson being a sniveling little prick and Frank got screwed.

Here's how I feel: There is a certain disconnect Omaha fans have from the program. You guys don't really have much of a problem throwing all of us under the bus and grouping everyone into one category. The glass is often half empty and you seem to try your best to look down your nose at the program. As if the way they run the program doesn't suit your palate anymore and you'd just as soon not be a Husker fan at all. Blow me.

I have been following the Huskers since the 70's. Here is my input:

I knew Frankie was not the answer to keeping Nebraska at the top of the football world. He was too slow to act on changes.
I was disappointed when he was fired. A 10 win season is no reason to fire a coach.
I was hopefully optimistic when the asshole was hired. I think it was maybe because it took so long to get someone who wanted to work for an asshat that would fire you for winning 10 games.
I will be here when the Big Red returns to the top. Don't like it, fuck you.
