Fuck that. 90% of fans expressed there dislike of solich after the Rose Bowl. A TO team would have never lost like they did. There was disappointment all around. A lot of fans couldn't fathom that there was a better program in the Nation. We did everything right and it had to be someone's fault. And that manifested itself into the whole Beebee, Texas, no one likes us senario. I know most of you fuckers are still butthurt from the CCG.

Trust me I figured you guys (you especially) would. Perhaps it was the copious amount of alcohol and serious lack of sleep, but I've felt this way for a while. I just think maybe husker fans need to be taken down a few pegs. At least, until we do something noteworthy. We are told we are the best fans in the land and we run with it.

I honestly still remember wanting to puke when I heard the news that Solich had been fired.

Then when I heard the news that Callahan had been hired I actually did puke a little.

I have stuck by this team every single year, no matter who is at the helm. Went to damn near every single game that Callahan coached. Just wanted to believe we could win.......and even after we lost, still went back to the next game and believed we could win.

I think being a fan is about putting up with whatever hands you're dealt and never jumping ship. We have talked about this "defining a true fan" before........and I know Jed just hates it when anyone brings it up. But I seriously believe a true fan is exactly what I just stated...........one who deals with whatever is given to them, and never jumps ship.

We became a lazy spoiled team and fanbase after the success the 90s. All of you wanted Solich fired and Pederson did what the fans wanted. Brought in Callahan, which everyone loved until he proved (once again) that he is a horrible head coach. Shit went south in a hurry. And then it was Texas's fault. We couldn't get a fair shake because of Texas. Texas, the evil Texas. But it's still the same fanbase, believe in everything coming out of lincoln until the performance says something different.

It will be a great day when Nebraska is on top again, I just hope most of you don't see it.

Spoiled fan base? HELL YES!!!! Should we apologize for expecting nothing but the best from our program? FUCK NO!!!!!! Solich has history with my family and I sure as fuck did not want him gone. Anyone from the disney board will remember how defensive I was about criticism of Solich before and after he was fired. I still am defensive about it. Now I will say that there was a lot of people that wanted Frank gone and were dancing on his grave when he got the boot. Then when Callahan came in I was pissed and that is when everyone started oogling over high school boys and thought it was the greatest thing ever. The Big 12 and Texas crap was not about on the field issues. It was about what was fair and the entire rest of the conference didn't see it that way so we decided to go to a conference that splits things equally. Now to be fair, Nebraska wanted to be greedy and do their own network and didn't want to share any of that revenue but they got shut down so why should other schools get to do it?

I am far from a koolaid drinker and rarely believe anything that comes out of Lincoln.

But as dumb as some of you may think the OP is for what he said, for some self absorbed idiot to say that there is a disconnect from Omaha is amazingly stupid.
