IMO, no matter who did it, It would actually be more pathetic to try to claim so sort of victory for a game that wasn’t played due to a worldwide pandemic. I'm not celebrating a victory (and not playing didn't really matter), but it is funny he was scared and wouldn't play. Come on....you know if his team was playing for a potential CFB spot that game happens.

I think the state of Michigan had Gretchen Whttmer, a draconian tyrant, as governor.. who shut down the state as much as possible. She caused tons of needless death during the pandemic, as did Cuomo in NY and Newsome in CA.

I honestly don’t think so. Michigan has a major woke upper academic bureaucracy. I’m only a fan of the team, the college is radically woke. They were happy to virtue signal how they were going to cancel and shut down everything.

A few things:

1. Fact check: the game was cancelled, not forfeited
2. 40+ Michigan players were unavailable to play due to having the virus or being exposed to it.

So.. yeah, it makes sense to me. The virus was starting to spread and there was uncertainty. I guess we could have showed up with some rec league players.. but what’s the point there.

The stealing signs thing had always intrigued me

On one hand you could consider it cheating

On the other hand if your doing signs that are available to be stolen then you need to do a better job of ensuring they can't be stolen

Like is it cheating when an offense does presnap motion into a set and the defenses LB calls out what play they're going to ruin because he's watched tape a ton and knows what's coming? Pretty much everyone would say no

Signs are akin to that imo

If you have a guy on your staff that's able to look at the other teams signs and figure out what they mean i personally don't think that's any different than watching tape and figuring out a play

Oh, I'm aware it was called a cancellation but equiv. of a forfeit (without getting the L).

Once again, I'm sure you know IF the game mattered to UM Harbaugh makes sure it gets played. But his team was going nowhere, likely knew he'd get spanked AND possibly could have hurt his rival (but didn't).
