How Did You Become A Redskins Fan?

I am a rare Redskins fan born and raised in Hawaii. It's unique here because there's no local team and no team remotely close geographically, so you'll find fans of every team. But lot of bandwagon fans here. For a while the 49ers were the unofficial state team, mainly because they had a few Hawaii guys on their team (Russ Francis, Jesse Sapolu). Lots of Cowboys, Raiders, Steelers fans too. A lot more Seahawk fans all of a sudden, lol.

But I started off as a Redskins fan due to my dad. He went to law school in the area at George Washington. I did have a small period of time were I cheered for the Rams. Was a big Eric Dickerson fan. My sister lives in SF so I root for the 49ers if I have to, but not really. Skins all the way!

I'm convinced being a Redskins fan is hardwired into my DNA. That's the only logical answer and because of the Redskins. I know love at first sight exist.

Pretty cool. One of our HS kids is playing DB at Hawaii. Not a 49er fan but we root for Navorro Bowman because he is a family friend. Especially of my nephews who play college ball now.
