I am dead serious, he cant stay focused for shit. He makes an error on a routine gb the other night with 2 outs in the ninth and the game on the line. Thats when he should be the most focused all night. I think something is wrong with the kid and it has happened in the last 2 years

I see it more like he thinks he's made it, and just kind of rests on his laurels. The dumb thing is, that will bite you in the ass at this level. Look at Beltre, if anyone should be able to do that, it's him. But that dude brings it every play every night.

That was a dumb question about a pitch count, when it is only the 5th inning and he's at 80 pitches now.

He was asking because of the 0's.

100 million + dollar contracts for a real young player sometimes helps them feel like they've made it. Not sure how you break that?

Put his ass on the bench for a week. You have to shake their world up.

Anyone else notice a key moment in the game when Hamilton took the walk? The lineup again produced behind him. Those things happening early are key to getting him in the right mindset early and being willing to pass the bat.

Yeah I know but it seemed very premature to me, he'd have to throw 130+ pitches probably

Any pitcher that has one going stays in the game IMO.
