That was an inexcusable ball 3 call by the home plate umpire. Comfortably and obviously inside the strike zone.

But Caminero remains filthy and completes 1.1 innings of scoreless, high velocity work.

The home plate ump is getting sarcastic applause from the PNC crowd when he calls a strike now.

2-0 Tigers. A seeing-eye slow-roller got the Tigers some insurance.

Through three starts, Greene has yet to give up an earned run. Obviously, he's doing something right.

Bucs fall 2-0 today.

Liriano looked sharp in the first. Really good bite to his slider.

Eh, not really. Sure, he's better at nailing runners, but Cervelli's not terrible at it (that jump was pretty big, and I don't think he caught it fully on-balance), and he's been solid handling the staff so far and at the plate so far.

And that one was definitely stolen off of Liriano. That break was massive.

Pedro's learning first base. Good job of giving himself an angle to throw around the runner.

And Liriano continues to look great.

Great start by Liriano, but the offense wasted it, and against Alfredo Simon of all people. The bats need to get going soon. But the pitching, especially the starters, has been outstanding.
