As soon as I say this I go to the play-by-play of yesterday's game and he didn't see more than 3 pitches in any plate appearance.. so I stand corrected

He is definitely a tough out and when he gets on base those 3, 4, and 5 hitters in the Pirates order have got some pop.

Unbelievable that he was available (I'm assuming you're talking fantasy baseball). In my more competitive leagues he wasn't available in late May

That pitching staff is definitely out performing their pre-season value. And there's a lot of good waiver wire pickups I see there

shaw is the only thing keeping keston from being a full time guy. hes up again, but shaw is starting to hit in AAA.

In 21 games with the San Antonio Missions, Shaw owns a .279/.419/.544 slash line with six homers and 15 RBIs. But he’s done most of his damage in the last few days. Since July 11th, Shaw has three homers, 10 RBIs, and a .438 batting average. That certainly sounds a lot more like the Shaw that put together back-to-back 30+ homer seasons in 2017 and 2018.

It would be a mistake for the Brewers to send Hiura back down to the minor league club.

shaw was coming back from injury then and continued to suck So shaw got sent down

got to wonder what happened to shaw/aguilar they raked last year

I see him changing positions later in his career. However, the edge offensively that the Brewers get at a non-hitting position is worth giving up a little defense.
