What is your guys opinion on Ward not coming back? He has kind of been a Steeler icon over the last decade. I know he is not a main staple anymore as your receivers are really good without him. Just seems weird thinking about the Steeler without Ward.

Good decision to save money?

Or, bad decision not to reward him for his years of dedication and remain a Steeler through retirement?

Ward is as much a UGA legend as he is for the Steelers (if not more), I would like to see him go out when he wants. If he would be happy as the #3, 4 or on the bench, then go for it.

I heard as well that he is willing to take a substantial pay cut to remain on the team (hasn't he done that before?).

From my perspective it's a win-win situation, either he stays on with the Steelers & we get to see him play a little longer... or he retires and joins the UGA staff, which he has recently said is his dream after his playing days are over.

I would like nothing more than to see hines retire a steeler .. personaly I think he is owed that .. and he still has a lot to offer in training the young receivers

I hope Hines isn't going anywhere, love that guy. But the Steelers always overcome losses, such as my favorite The Bus :hail:.

As a Steelers fan, I hope Ward plays for a team that comes to the Burgh this year and destroys William Gay with one of his awesome blocks.
