KuklasKorner : The Puck Stops Here : Early Look At The HHOF Class of 2011

As for other first time eligible players, (1)Trevor Linden, (2)Derian Hatcher and (3)Glen Wesley are some of the best candidates. None of them belong in the Hall of Fame. Not now and not after waiting several years either.

Since up to four male players can be inducted in a season and a backlog of players already exists, I would add three more of the previously overlooked players. The top three candidates in this group are Doug Gilmour, Adam Oates and Sergei Makarov. I wouldn’t be too upset if they were replaced with other candidates like Dave Andreychuk, Phil Housley, Mark Howe, Joe Nieuwendyk, Eric Lindros or possibly another player or two.

1: Yes
2: Oh God no
3: I don't think so, Tim

I like Belfour, Gilmour, Oates, and Niewendyk.

Talk about a one trick pony. If he wasn't 6'5, mean as hell, and born at just the right date to coincide with the peak of clutch and grab hockey, he would have been a career AHLer.

And that is why you will be getting a vote from me for the Hookies. You seem to always hit it on the head :)

Fantastic!

I agree with Dash, Joe Nieuwendyk is a HOF.

I'll go with Belfour, Gilmour, Damphousse and Nieuwendyk.

I agree, he made a living of clutch and grab. He probably consults teen males on what to do on prom night.

Can somebody explain to me why some people believe Dale Hunter should be in the Hall of Fame? I'd put him in the same category as Ulf Samuelsson.

Yeah, esp after this "classy" move. I hated him.

Belfour, Gilmour, Oates, Andreychuk, Nieuwendyk should be no brainers in my opinion! To me, their play on the ice speaks for itself! I'd also vote for Linden and Housley, and agree with AJ on Pierre Turgeon! One thing I hate is when players get in on their 2nd or later try! If they're good enough to be in the HOF, vote them in the 1st time they're eligible!
