It's not he had a scholarship however they were a lil concerned about his size

I remember watching Tommy Hodson play in Ohio Stadium when I was in grad school (in 1988). The game ended as one of the most unlikely comebacks for Ohio State in school history, with the Buckeyes pulling out a 36-33 win in the end.
