Had a guy sitting in front of me at the Wyo game wearing a NDSU T-shirt. He decided to catch a Nebraska game on his way back to ND from Manhattan, KS. I asked him how the KSU fans treated them after the upset and he said "Just fine".
I worked that game. Most NDSU fans were great.... some had to be drug out like shitfaces. Overall, pretty cool.

Then I ended up seeing a bunch in Lincoln. They were much cooler there. Makes sense, they felt more relaxed and were trying to catch some tradition on the way home.

If Bo must go, which I think is a bad thing at this point, then my two choices are

1A Tim Beck - offensive players love his style, please see the talent coming to Lincoln
1B Scott Frost -

Coach I would not want - Richt. He could not do it in TALENT rich Georgia, with proximity to Florida and North Carolina. You really think he could come to Nebraska and bring in talent? No thanks.

One thing for sure, Papuchis MUST GO. Papuchis is a graduate of the Kevin Cosgrove School of Defense. Last year, I gave him the pass to learn. He has not learned a thing.

Sure there are other coaches, but high caliber that will turn program from good/average to a yearly powerhouse? That is what we all crave. We all know what happened before. I just think that options are very limited at best, if the 8-4/9-3 type season is not suitable

It is not so much the 8-4/9-3 years are not okay. It is the inability to compete. The performances are embarrassing.

As for coaches out there? Chris Peterson, Gary Patterson, Paul Johnson, Kevin Sumlin, Bobby Petrino (yea I said it :D).

Heck Jimbo Fisher, Dave Doeren, Larry Coker, Hugh Freeze.

They may not all be available or even willing to come here. They may not all be a good fit but the point is there are guys out there. In the words of a lesser man "We should not let Nebraska gravitate into mediocrity and surrender "...the Big Ten to the likes of Ohio State and Wisconsin.

Look at what Oklahoma went through, Alabama. You don't just say fuck it we are going to be an average team because we might get a worse coach then we have now. Fuck that. We are fucking Nebraska and not only fans but now coaches are disrespecting us because they know we can not do a damn thing about it. It is time to change.

If/when Bo is gone, then what?

I just don't see many good options

There are a ton of good options...Nebraska is a pretty good spot to be for a football head coach

That's right. There are no other coaches out there anywhere. Bo is the only option. :L

I'll throwout three I honestly believe would be really interested and then you can all laugh at me. If you want to go with an assistant-again-Scott Frost. If you want to take someone who has coached here before but hasn't had any HC experience at this level-Craig Bohl-although he's no spring chicken. Finally, someone currently coaching in the big leagues-Pat Fitzgerald of Northwestern. Dark horse--Chris Petersen

I would love Fitz. Don't know if he would do it though.

Frost may be good but I wouldn't want to have to train a new HC again. Hell he hasn't even shown he can OC yet.

I think the big guys in Nebraska need to ask themselves

Are we gonna be had to just hang around and win 9-10

Or do we wanna get a coach that will bring us to be atleast a top 10 team ever year

Serious question bc we haven't been the same since 2010

I hate to get into coaching speculation after 1 stinkin' game. I mean let's give Bo a chance to turn these young guys around. Now as someone said elsewhere if SoMiss puts up more than 21, I'm not going to be happy. and if UCLA gets anywhere near 600 yards, I'm going to be even more unhappy.

and this is what I'd say about the coaches talk:

Pat Fitzgerald is laughable. He isn't leaving NW, I'm pretty sure other schools have tried to lure him away and hasn't gone. Don't want Richt, as stated by HuskerinBig10. Chris Petersen maybe.

I just don't think Nebraska is a place where too many coaches step away from a gig that they already like. It's not an SEC gig and it's not an easy recruiting sell. I don't like too many of the HC options that you guys are throwing out there, I really hate going the coordinator route again, but I like our offense and would gladly give Beck the reigns. I'd tell him he needs to hire an experienced DC and that DC needs an experienced staff. My other thought is throw money at Kirby Smart. See if he can retain Beck.

Chris Peterson is not leaving Idaho, ever, even if he was fired from Boise St, it has absolutely nothing to do with football why he is still coaching there, matter of fact Boise is very fortunate to be in the position that CP and his family are in, which is a terrible thing to say, God Bless that man

It's his 6th season.

Exactly !!!!

I'm trying I really am but I just watched espnU do a panic or patience on Nebraska and other teams
Guess what they picked

Guess what they said

All over other husker board I see people tying to sugar coated and pump Wyoming up
STOP IT.

Giving up 600 to anyone is bad point blank, but to a team from the MWC?!!!

Can't talk about trying to be elite but find excuse on why Wyoming lit us up and left 14-17 pts on the field .
Most SEC fans don't know where or what conference Wyoming in

What helps bo is Nebraska is gonna be to scared to give a young or inexperience coach a chance and to be honest we might need an experienced coach or an nfl coach that isn't gonna pull a Callahan.

But if bo want to make a point goose egg southern miss

No more than 10 pts
