Why would Columbus trade a defenseman for a defenseman when they need to add a defenseman?

They can add a defenseman in a variety of ways, Calgary needs to get somebody back to play the blueline...

I am indifferent to the Caps but I will be seeing them this year at the Baltimore Hockey Classic!

Hey Dash - I checked through all the Caps' blogs I read (Japer's Rink is probably the best) from time-to-time and I see ZIPPY on anything with Regehr. We have too many defenseman to even deal with right now, I don't know why we'd be looking at him unless it involved us moving Poti or Schultz.

Any rumors on what Caps are involved?
