Wow this is an expensive package for 1 hockey game. I hadnt realized the heritage classic is Feb 20th. I thought it was on New Years Day as well before or after the outdoor again-classic these "classics" are becoming regular. this is the game that should be used as an allstar game.

The Sheraton Suites Calgary Eau Claire has two sets of tickets to one of the most anticipated hockey games of the season. Enjoy two tickets to the sold out Montreal Canadiens versus Calgary Flames outdoor game at McMahon Stadium on February 20, along with exclusive limo service to and from the game, a night in our presidential suite, and more.
This package includes:
Two tickets for premium seats at the Calgary Flames game on February 20 at McMahon Stadium. Seats are located in Section T, Row 28.
One night stay in our Imperial Presidential or Premiere Presidential Suite. Please call the hotel for special rates for our Presidential Suites before or after game day.
Valet Parking at the hotel
Limousine service to and from McMahon Stadium
Buffet breakfast for two in the Club Lounge
A welcome gift including two pairs of mittens, a cozy Sheraton blanket, your choice of a bottle of red or white wine, and a signature wine opener gift set to take home.
Don't delay! Only two packages are available. The cost for this package is $2,500 plus tax, based on double occupancy. To learn more or reserve your tickets and stay, call 1-888-784-8370 and ask for the Calgary Flames Ultimate Outdoor Game Package.

Hockey is my religion, but 2,500 bucks? TV is better.

they aren't really marketing this to you or me

they are targeting the people that would generally stay in the presidential suite anyway.

Some of the Pens fans here on SportsHoopla got tix to the WC for a pretty decent price. Lucky bastards. I tried to get tix for Bruins/Flyers last year at Fenway, fucking cheapest ticket I could find was like 350 bucks. I'll pass.

gotta look at it this way...

One of a kind opportunities only come around so often. When the opportunity has the possibilities of great times and great memories (i.e., not a material "thing"), you gotta jump.

I paid over 200 bucks (one ticket) to go to the all star weekend in Atlanta, plus gas, travel, hotel, food... a fairly expensive weekend.

Did I like writing that check? Nope.
Was it a one of a kind event that 3 years later, the memories and fun with friends I had that weekend far, far, far, far outweigh what having that 500 +- bucks back in my checking account would have given me.
HELL YEAH

That said, and for the same reason... I HAPPILY paid over twice that (2 seats) for the ASG weekend in Raleigh, may even go stay at a hotel downtown just for the hell of it, since there is a ton of stuff going on at the convention center that weekend.

Just like playoff tickets.... go, it's always worth it.
I went to every game in 2002, had to pay in advance, write a pretty big check... worked out pretty damn good... got to go to 2 SC finals games, including that triple OT game. (fuck you Larionov!)

In 2006, I had just started a new job, wussed out and though I went to all games in round one and two, didn't think I could afford writing that check for 2 tickets for rounds 3 and four (had to pay in advance). So... all my friends can say they attended game 7. I did not. :-(

Never again. When opportunity presents itself, must go. Cash. Never finance with credit card if you can help it (or try to pay off withing 3 months if you do). Want long term memories to be of how much fun it was, not how expensive it was when still writing checks 8 months later.

$350.00? Where's my checkbook.

I saw a commercial on the NHL Network that had "all" regular season of the outdoor games before getting to Sid Vs OV. Needless to say I wasnt happy they decided to ignore the original Classic from 03. But I guess since I'm an American I'm not supposed to care about Canadian teams.

Agreed, but that was for a solo seat. The cheapest I could find for a pair of tickets together was like 550 each. While I agree with everything your saying, last year I was in rough shape financially working for my douche father, but I'd still have a hard time dishing that dough out for a game.

I have to agree with biz's post above about shelling out the cash for something that could possibly be a once-in-a-lifetime event. I did that last year for the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver (I was lucky enough to be in Calgary for the '88 Olympics as well). I spent some significant dollars to attend events on three consecutive days, but it was a lot of fun and I along with my wife and kids have memories to last a lifetime. Hard to put a price tag on that.

would I drop $350 for a ticket like that. I only paid $350 for my GOLD MEDAL Ticket at 2010 :) I think the pricing is not terrible but that package is ludicrous. but I would go if I could for $350
