:yo:

I have this lifetime goal to get to all the NFL stadiums before my death. I have been to like 19 so far but they keep building new ones damn the luck. I try to go to one or two new ones each year that I have not been too and with New England and Gillette Stadium on the list to see with this maybe being the last time Brady and Rodgers play against each other in a regular season game it is on my list of places to be this year.

I am flying in early on Saturday morning to Boston and will be getting a room west over by Providence, RI or maybe a bit west of there as I will be hanging out at the Foxwoods Casino or maybe the Mohegan Sun. It has been awhile since I have been there. I will then be heading over to Gillette on Sunday early afternoon is my guess. I have to get a game ticket yet but was wondering if any of you are out there tailgating? Is there any recommended parking areas coming from the west going into the Foxboro area? Anyone in the area have a place to meet for a few beers and such?

My guess is I will see the Packers lose and have Rodgers lose to the Patriots for the first time in a game he has started against them.

I am going to head over to the Gillette Stadium area on Saturday as I drive by the area on my way to the hotel and casinos to get the lay of the land so I know what to expect but was just looking for advice

Thanks

:suds:

First, Gillette parking is $40....yep, $40 and they get you just as you turn in.

There are a hundred private parking lots along the road into Gillette and they range from $10-$50.

If you get a ticket, and a decent seat will cost you if you buy prior to the game, check around where you're staying. There might be a shuttle that you can take to the stadium and will probably cost you $20 round trip. There are trains but I've never taken one so I don't really know much about where they take you.

If you have large testicles and are a gambler, if you wait around the entrance near the Pre Shop and Hall of Fame and you're willing to chance missing the kickoff, you might be able to pick up a really good seat at face value because the scalpers don't want to lose the face money.

Patriots Place has a casino right next to the stadium if you want to gamble. When I went down a couple weeks after it opened, it was all electronic. I don't trust computer gambling as much as I trust a Crouper or human. How can you truat a machine that knows your bet and controls the game??

Just remember that seats in the 300's are nose bleed. 200s are exposed but in the lower level.

Stadium is really nice now that the bathrooms and travelways have been upgraded.

Online ticket prices are crazy right now. Even the nosebleeds are over $300 each.

Check Craigslist for a bargain.

Also check around Green Bay, someone may have bought a pair but there other may not go.
The train did not go all the way to Foxborough last time I was there.
I'd go but I'm a long ways away.....

Thanks for the info much appreciated!

I think on my way out of Boston after the flight I will head over to the stadium on Saturday afternoon and check things out with the parking and such. I dont mind being farther away and getting a little exercise walking to the stadium. Thanks for sharing about the tickets. Many times if I dont have a ticket for home games I go where they are selling them and yes after kick off the price drops.

I dont mind if I miss a few minutes of the game. I have just seen at some stadiums they dont allow scalping and the police have enforced it and have seen people get busted. But yes if there are people selling at the stadium I will wait as yes the nose bleed seats are running like $275 on Stubhub. I will see what can find at the stadium and if not can always get a quick one from Stubhub in the phone app and download the ticket and then they scan the ticket on your phone going into the stadium but hopefully will find a reasonable price

I agree with you on the gambling I do not trust any electronic gambling. I only play the cards with human dealers so if there is only electronic by the stadium that may not work.

The weather looks to be rainy on Saturday but nice and sunny on Sunday but a little cooler at night in the upper 30s but that is good football weather. Just not so fun when it is raining and upper 30s.

Hopefully it will be a good game with everyone staying healthy

Ditto.

Have a good time and enjoy the area. If you eat seafood, don't pass up getting some while you're here.
Most places that have seafood as a prime draw serve really good food. I'm allergic to almost all seafood so I can't eat it. I used to sneak it until my throat started to close and became short of breath. I've always said that if I decide to commit suicied, I'll eat fish and chips and smile on the way out.

Damn...that's even worse than being here in TN and not having access to good seafood.

It sicks. I love haddock, especially when deep fried. I've alway been able to tell when I've hit the "no more" but as I've gotten older, my tolerencehas diminished. I love lobster but I've never been able eat and hold down a sinle bite. It ferocious if I try so I haven't put a crumb of lobster in my mouth for 60 years. I truly hate seeing anyone dip a lobster tail in butter and then take a giant bite...............................

:) I'd say we now have a way to shut you up, but knowing you, you'd keep typing with a closing throat while being short of breath...

Eventually time catches up with all of us.................in a few years My hands will be like my feet, no nerves,

That's why I'm writing my second book. Finished number one in August and published it in September. I'm writing Chapter 32 of my second one. Should be done by Thanksgiving. I plan to have number three done by February. Selling eBooks really well for a newbie.

Ask Carnzo, I sent him a numbered and signed book.

I was in MA a few weeks ago(I live in CA now) with my wife and kid. We had seafood pretty much every day. Lobster. Fried clams(with the belly's of course). Scallops. Fish.

There is nothing like seafood in New England.

We bought property there but we're not sure when we're moving back. Hopefully some time in 2019. I miss it.

Yeah whole belly clams are the only way to eat clams. If you eat just clam strips you're a pussy.

My roommate in college and I were both divers. He would go lobster diving at the Channel Islands and bring home big lobsters. He could not eat them. He would about cry watching me pig out on his lobsters. One trip he tried one last time. I've never seen someone so sick - and I couldn't eat any after watching him puke......

7. Green Bay Packers (LW: 6)
An admirable road loss to the Rams. Aaron Rodgers is going to carry this team until neither of his legs work.
