Whoever made the point about Taylor Martinez getting more of the blame than he deserves, I agree with heeem.

Taylor would be 12-0 with the 95 team because of the all the players and coaches around him. The coaching staff would have taught him to run the option as least as good as Matt Turman.

Agreed.

And I'm not trying to say Taylor is the shit or anything........it's obvious he has his struggles.

But I can't say for sure that the 1995 Huskers would have been undefeated with Zac Lee at QB. I think they'd certainly have a good chance, but having a QB who could run is what really made that offense work.

You had a turd the size of a pear inside of your diaper during that game..........don't act like ye know anything about that team.

Taylor Martinez could have easily handed the ball off to the best running back core to ever exist behind the best line to ever exist. And he would have easily ran for a shit ton of yards as well.

And his defense would have easily held up their end of the bargain, and they would have been undefeated.

This... emphatically.

I guess maybe the best way to look at this would be like this...................what if Tommie Frazier was our starting QB today?? And I don't mean the current Tommie Frazier who is 280 pounds...........I mean the 1995 Tommie Frazier.

What would our record have been this season?

287-0 with a national championship, NFC north title, and superbowl victory :cool2:

I don't agree.
Tommie may not have been well liked on the team, but he did demand "RESPECT", and with respect came communication which equalled execution.

I don't think the offensive lineman like or respect Taylor. Now I didn't play at the college level, but in high school, if the lineman didn't like you and you were a pompous ass, arrogant fuck that thought the team revolved around you, they'd let you get your ass handed to you repeatedly. It was like they would take turn's letting somebody get by.

Now I'm not sure if the maturity level escalate's beyond that mentality from high school to college, but I think it may make a difference.

Pure speculation on my part, with a bit of observation.

p.s. **our temporary quarterback was the son of a doctor, who thought his shit didn't stink.

If Tommie was in his prime this year, we would have only lost to Meechigan.

There is no way we beat Wisconsin or Northwestern with Tommie.

Taylor actually had a fantastic game against Northwestern, but our defense got shredded. Same with the Wisconsin game.

My point is simple. Taylor Martinez is under the microscope because of the position he plays. But you can look at every one of our offensive linemen and :L @ them just as much as you can Taylor........and you can do that for many of our defensive players as well.

But they aren't the ones who are in the spotlight every play.........so everyone just assumes that it's all on that guy.

In my opinion, the offensive line is indeed our weak spot.

because Taylor's 3 ints at the half had nothing to do with us losing the Wisky game?

If you think that Tommie Frazier is going to stop Wisconsin from racking up 500 yards of offense and 27 first downs, then you have gone off the deep end.

The Northwestern game proved where our weakness is really at. Taylor Martinez had 350 of our 400 total yards in that game, along with 2 TDs and 0 turnovers........and we lost the damn game.............in Memorial Stadium.

The real weakness was the fact that we have no team.........we have no unity. One man can't change all that, but a handful of guys can. I think that starts with coaching though for the most part.

Tommie Frazier lost some games when he was a Freshman and Sophomore too..........

Actually, Popeye answered the call pretty well... with your hypothetical questioning here lately and you are wrong about what 1 person can do who is a leader and thus causes the rest of the team to rally around him.

Are you familiar with the butterfly effect?

Obviously we will never know the answer as to what our record would be this year with TF at the helm. This is another one of those questions/comments that make zero sense to me.

It's like the "IF" factor...

We would have won the game "IF"

Really? :fish:
