Pretty rough sports night after all the build up -- Mariners get blanked and Gonzaga couldn't make anything for nearly the whole 2nd half.

I guess for the Ms to look at the few positives, Felix did K 6 in 5 innings without any walks and was hitting 92 fairly consistently and even 93 here and there. I don't sweat solo HRs too much, so overall I thought Felix looked a lot like Felix. That particular ballpark has been really rough on him as well, so it was encouraging that he kept the team in the game vs their ace despite once again getting 0 run support.

Hopefully there's something better to watch tonight. Probably have to score at least 1 run.

This is worrisome no matter how you spin it. We are 1 game in and already looking at the 7th spot in our rotation.

My issue isn't as much with the loss, but with the lack of energy. I watched the game from start to finish and it almost put me to sleep. The players came up like this was nothing big and we are all professionals. I want some life out there and show this might be your last AB so put some energy out there. It just seemed lifeless out there.

So do you think the team was "lifeless" because they were getting shut out, or shut out because they lacked life? It seems like a pretty odd assessment in game 1 of 162.

Groin injury is similar to a hammy... this is gonna be an issue. I suspect DL
