...about not starting against a lefty.

He's batting .144 against lefties.

When is the fat, old man going to realize it's not 2003 anymore?

What a hypocrite and how embarrassing for young players (who deserve his roster spot) to see this behavior.

In before the "but... but... but..." :L

There is no excuse for this at this stage in his career with where that team is, so please don't try to justify it. It's bullshit and it's time for Sox fans to call it just that and demand better performance or option the fat fool.

David Ortiz is hallucinating over past glories... right now, he sucks beyond description! If he starts that "Play me or Trade me" crap, I agree - ship his pathetic ass out of town. And my money says Farrell won't make it to September! That won't be any great loss either.

The typical pouty "Ask the manager" bullshit. He looked like he was going to attack the dude asking.

I am getting tired of the fat man. He is fat. He is out of shape. At this stage of his career, he should be working on physical fitness and losing weight. He can't run, and a lot of that has to do with the fact he is wearing 50 lbs of fat as a belt. You can get away with that for awhile. But not late in your career. I remember seeing him play when he was still with the Twins in 1999. He was a beast. About 210 lbs on the same frame. He ran like a deer, and was just as graceful.

Obviously, he can never be a kid again, but he sure as hell can try to stop being an overweight bigmouth who couldn't get a hit against a left handed pitcher if his life depended on it.

Dude expects money and respect for shit he did a decade ago.

It don't work that way, Papi!

Maybe if he and Pablo didn't close down the Golden Corral every night, their production would be a little better.

This team won with guys like Bill Mueller, Mark Bellhorn, Trot Nixon, Manny Ramirez, Kevin Millar, and Ortiz all taking plenty of pitches. Now they have clowns like Sandoval, Castillo, Swihart, and Betts who just leave the on deck circle swinging.

Pablo Sandoval is the worst of all. His OBP is nearly the same as his batting average.

No one twisted the Giants or Sox' arm to pay that fat fool. You think he's concerned about his weight now? Hell no.

You could roll or bounce the ball up there and he'd swing at it.

All the roids in the world can't improve Big Juici's game anymore. There is a point in every juicers career when the secret sauce can't do it's magic anymore. Time to retire.

he hasnt slugged under .517 since he was 34 and hurt (wrist)

hes at .372 now.

his .263 avg last year was his worst since he was 33, and again, hurt (wrist)

you cant escape father time. i honestly think the decline is here, for good...unless he somehow figures it out.

he looks lost.

Papi should just smoke weed while sitting in a dark room and listening to "The End" over and over again...cuz that's what this is, and he needs to chill out.

I don't know why you think Sox fans aren't fed up with this guy? We realize he is old and losing his fight with father time and his rants have always been pathetic.

His act was tolerated because he was really good, no more, no less.

I get it now...he's pissed that he's not going to reach 500HRs.
Probably figures he's a lock for the HOF with 500 (assuming he isn't implicated in a bigger PEDs scandal than the one that has already swirled around him) and wants his sig to be worth that much more after he retires.
