Better/Best
They still have enough collective talent to be champions. So what are the problems?
They don't have the heart of champions.
They aren't disciplined enough to be champions.
They aren't smart enough to be champions, from a football IQ perspective.
They are aren't coached well enough to be champions, and I'm talking about both sides of the ball.
They are too invested in their lives as celebrities and not invested enough in their lives as football players.
You won't find any of the above issues on perennial contenders like Green Bay and New England.
This group may have another championship run in them before their window of opportunity closes. But in order for that to happen, they need a mindset overhaul, and I don't think Pete Carroll is the type of coach who can effectively implement a mindset overhaul. He did it when these guys were mostly unproven players but I don't think he can re-enact it now that they established veterans with a degree of previous success.
