The question I have is:

Has Bo made the right decision regarding whom he's hired as asst's? The head coach is only as good as though's he surrounds himself with, it's the same with any business.

What does Ross Els, Corey Raymond and Rich Fisher bring to the table?
Are Els and Raymond the right fit for NU?
It appears Fish has the WR's playing hard and holding their block's, trying to give the little extra effort.
As for the LB's and secondary, well that's another story there.

Anybody have any insight on these guy's?

The only insight I can provide is............time will tell

which is what SUH had. he needs to give half of this paycheck to Prince et all.

debatable, i think '09 was a dominate lien AND a dominate secondary. i think suh looked better because of the secondary, but i still think he would have been close to as dominate with a worse secondary.

The one player in the secondary who seriously has made zero progress (from what I can see) is Ciante.

Kid gets beat and takes the wrong angle on damn near every single play.

I still do not like the idea of bringing in some big name tool. Jed and I got into an argument about that last year I believe. He said he'd much rather have a big name coach who is popular than to have Bo. And I think succeeding at Nebraska is far beyond being a typical good Head Coach.........I think in order to succeed at Nebraska you have to be able to understand and embrace the traditions that we have in place here.........and I think it takes a unique and passionate guy to do that. Not some big whig

I totally agree with this.

I'm not someone who hates Bo, and I'm not trying to start some crusade to run him out or anything. I'm just saying, I starting to really wonder if Bo can get more out of this team.....

This, I will admit comes from his yearly meltdowns against teams that we should beat. I'm probably one of the few that is still seriously pissed about the Holiday Bowl performance from last year, and I do hold Bo most primarily responsible for that. The fact is Bo was pissed and didn't want to be in that game, and his team mirrored their coaches attitude.

The other thing that does bother me about Bo is for someone who coaches with a strict disciplinarian style.....His style doesn't bother me, I don't care that he yells at his players or yells at the media.....I could give two fucks about that.....

I'm assuming what he is going for is to get his players to play at the highest emotional level possible, but still maintaining control. I don't think there is anyone here that can tell me Bo can control his own intense emotional highs, so he's trying to get players to achieve a level of performance and management of intense emotional play that even he is incapable of. And I think the reason he has these let down games is because it's so difficult to get that many individual guys to that level week in and week out. He's proven to be able to get the team to respond to his coaching for big games and have the ability to play over their heads, and maybe I'm wrong (I hope I'm wrong) and that it will click for him the right level of control/intensity of emotion trade off that will become apparent to him and then he will move the team to the next level.

Hey all...

I am shit ass sick and on couch all day... I do not get sick very often but when I do... it brings out every little injury I have ever had... Feel like I have been dropped from and airplane... landed on on the interstate and ran over by traffic... then I get up... only to be kicked by a little old lady and bit by her dog...

Just sayin... :noidea:

HH, you cannot live at our Husker SportsHoopla Fraternity house. I am sorry sir, but we will be on a tight budget, and home improvement will not be in that budget.
